Practical learning

For practical learning last term we made head phone bags we also hand sewed them. It took us about a term and 2 weeks.

I chose blue for my pattern and the candy one because I like lollies, I chose blue because I love blue its my favourite  colour.

The part that I hated was I kept getting knots .

The part I enjoyed was putting the bag together and finishing.

Fact or ficton

           Here are my three paragraphs  describing my holiday can you  guess which are fact or ficton?

Make your own rainbow experiment

In room 15 we are doing reading activities  about water. I wanted to do - make your own rainbow.  I got some tissue paper and cut it into a rainbow shape. Then I coloured the rainbow colours a little bit down each end. When I put the rainbow into the water, the colours spread onto my tissue paper beautifully. This is it in action!

Water cycle in a bag

last week me and my class room 15  did a water cycle. we paired up with a buddy I chose my friend Kini. We got our plastic bag and we drew a sun ,water and clouds we filled our bag with water up to the waves we put in blue dye. We taped the bag on the window with the most sun we used strong red tape we left It their for two hours we saw It evaporating without the dye It was fun to make. 

Evaporation is when the water goes up as a gas. 

Condensation is when the gas turns back into drops and sits in the clouds. 

Precipitation is when the water falls down as rain

Collection is when the water that rained goes back to its place (lakes, rivers)

Being back at school

When I got at school on the first day back I was super exited because I didn't like online learning because It was hard. Sometimes I didn't have anyone to help me.  I love school because I get to see the amazing hard working teachers. I get to see all of my my amazing friends too! Welcome back everyone!

Hockey 2020

On Thursdays we do hockey lessons. When we do hockey we can chose our buddy sometimes. When we get to chose our buddy I try find my friend Lucie. I've  learnt how to do sharp turns around cones and going slow and fast with the ball.

My proud moment

My proud moment was from last year in December.

I played for Whanganui under ten girls touch team. We had the tournament in Palmerston North. We played against Taranaki, Manawatu and Wellington, and won all our games.
We played Manawatu in the semi final and won.

We played Taranaki in the final and just lost. We got a silver medal and came second.

Football 2020

This year we are doing a girls only football lesson.To encourage more girls to play foot ball.

The Classroom Flood !!

Today Room 6, 7 and 5 had a flood in their classroom. I'm in Room 6. We can't pass the cones so then we don't get wet feet. In the morning when I got to school there was a wet carpet. I was bummed out because I had to walk all the way from the front door to the back. The rain was from Sunday, you guys should have seen the rain and lightning. 

My dogs were scared. My dog Taupirir was so scared that she wouldn't move. Rata was super scared that she jumped up and down trying to open the door and then I accidentally opened the door and forgot to close it. She got inside, my mum told Rata to go back outside and I felt sad for my dogs. Then it was school at nine o clock. The man got a big vacuum to help clean the carpet in our classroom. It was a weird looking one because it was really big and I've never seen a vaccumn cleaner that big before. 

The Water Fight

On Monday, Carlton school had a water fight. First I did the water fight and then I got pretty bored, so I got dressed and played with Kini and Nevaeh. We played helicopter then me, Kini, Tessa, Neveah and Leith played with the skipping ropes. Neveah got a ball and called it Tommy the ball. I don't know why but she said that Tommy was homeless and she decided to adopt Tommy. Then we were all laughing, because how can a ball be homeless?They only become homeless if you leave them at a park.  I didn't really like the water fight because I don't really like getting wet from water guns, I only like getting wet at the beach or in the pools.

Athletics Practice

This week we did Athletics practice, we practiced high jump. We did it so we knew how to do the scissor kick over the pole. Quotis (ring toss) we learnt how to throw properly. In the l00m run we had to learn where to go. When we went to Long jump we had to learn to jump further. Vortex we had to be in the right pose to make the vortex go further. Shot put we didn't practiced that, I don't know why we didn't practice that one. I really like the 100 metre sprints because I like running.

Junior Athleticis 2018

For Athletics's  I came first in the 300 meter run.  We did a wheelbarrow race.  Cassady and Kayla came first again .  

It hurt very badly after the wheelbarrow race.   We did a sack race.  It was hilarious,  I was laughing  in joy.   The hurdles were easy - you had too jump over stuff.   I was excitedly tired   and famished after that stuff.   But  we had 2 more  thing to do, that was the vortex throw.  You have to throw as hard as you can and try your best .  We did quoit throwing.  We lost, it was hard.

1. This term is going to be amazing, we're  doing a whole lot of fun fun fun fun fun stuff.

2. This term we are  going to Napier for camp where we're going to ocean spas.   I'm going to feel amazing!!!. 

         3. And we're doing athletics -vortex throw-Quoit throwing-long jump-hurdles-sprints -sack race.

4. Halloween  disco  is coming up!!!.

         

Term Three Reflection

My favourite thing in term three 2018 was doing the scream art. and Picasso art work and Hundertwasser .

Goal for term 3 and Term 4

For my goal for term 3 and 4  is that I want to get better at my spelling.  I am going to do this by moving up an essential spelling list.

Simple Sentences
